Loving Our House!

Lately I have been in the nesting mode.  after getting all boxes unloaded, furniture arranged, etc.....for me, it's to decorate and make little displays.
Couldn't get great light for the living room, need to keep working on this, mbecause ut's a wonderfully cozy place.  The floating shelves are one set of two on either side of my prep sink (can I say I love having a small prep sink.....so great when multi-tasking in the kitchen).
I have another MFT card to share;
This card features the 'Green Pastures' stamp and die set, colored in with copic markers, along with the little fence die that I love, it looks like just where we live!  I embossed the sentiment using Zing embossing powder.  Fun card, oh, and I got the idea for the plaid shirt from the MFT Designer idea gallery, colored with copics.

My next project...I got this old window frame at an antique store.  Sanded it, and re-glued the wood panes in.  I left it pretty rough (well, it was in pretty bad shape and would have split the wood to pieces if I had sanded any more :), this is the first coat of paint...I think Inwant to make a photo collage kind of bulletin board...I'm sure it will evolve...

New My Favorite Things Card

Hi there!  This card was really fun to makeusing My Favorite Things, 'Let's Hang Out,' stamp and die set.  I colored in the sky with Tim Holtz distress ink , and the little girl and tree with copic markers, the grass was cut from a MFT die.  I popped the little girl up with pop dots and embossed the tire swing with white embossing powder.
This is my third card for the contest, I'll be back with two more.

Super hot here today, 95 degrees.  Letting the garden flourish a bit while it's hot and before it freezes, giving me a bit of a rest from freezing and canning....

Reaping The Harvest!

In typical Central Oregon fashion, the temperature fluctuations are extreme between night and day ( especially in the Spring and Fall.... I know it's not officially fall, but it feels like it is here in the mornings :). With the temperatures dropping precariously close to freezing, we have to keep on top of the garden harvesting, thus, all the freezing and canning...

Have been trying to make time to get my craft on too.n This is my second card for the My Favorite Things contest:
I used the cute Flurries ( think that's the name of it) stamp and die set, then colored it with Copic markers.  the square double stitched border is also MFT's, the scalloped rectangle is a spellbinders die.  The vellum background is stitched borders from Lawn Fawn.  I embossed the sentiment with some somewhat glittery embossing powder, and added some sequins for a little added touch.

Corn is calling, thanks for stopping by,

It's Been Awhile, New House, New Challenges

It's been over a year..in the meantime, we have been living in our RV for close to a year while building our new home.  We are blessed to have 10 acres to house cows, pigs a big garden and all kinds of critters, and the biggest blessing is that we have a beautiful place to host family events and gatherings with our kids and grands.   It has been a lot of fun to see our plans and dreams turn into a reality. I will share more photos of the house and my favorite elements.

I have also been enjoying my new craft room, it's hard to focus on decorating, landscaping, canning and freezing....with this room screaming for me to create😉. I will for sure share pics of this small little space that is my creative area... I did notice a little contest from All My Favorite Things, which I made a card for, featuring 'The Whole Herd' stamp set and dies.
I blended some Tim Holtz distress ink in for the background and created a little farm scene using MFT dies and stamps, coloring in with Copic markers.  Super fun for me to create😄
Until next time.....
