Scrapbook Process Video 'Disgruntled Flower Girls'

Hi there, here with the first few pics from our son's wedding.  This photo features out two granddaughters, who were flower girls, Evie and Capri.  This picture cracks me up...the girls with their little sour puss faces...they were upset because they had to get off the dance floor for the newlyweds first dance :(

I matted the photo on solid white cardstock, mulberry paper, embossed cardstock text print and more layered mulberry.  I added some gold touches with metal photo corners and a small gold frame.  The title is mounted on two layered bookmark dies by Papertrey Ink, which is layered on top of mulberry and a strip of washi tape.  The heart accent by the photo is by Crate Paper, it is  watercolor paper, which is embossed to show the design through watercolor.  The gold foil arrow and dots and acetate clock are by Heidi Swapp, white metal words are making memories.

Scrapbooking Process Video "Homemade Pesto"

Hello there, back after a little hiatus,  taken to get ready for our youngest son's wedding which was at our house in the yard (it turned out beautiful)!

Today I have a video to share, a page made with a photo of my homemade pesto.  I used wonderfully textured Carta Bella patterned paper from 'Mix It Up.'  You will see, I also used some ephemera from a Becky Higgins Project Life set (which I ended up shuffling around quite a bit).  Pardon my jumbling of words at the end when I was trying to say 'you can find me at suzannebwebb.blogspot.com :). I totally got tongue-tied!!

Enjoy!

#SSSWCHALLENGE..... Here With A Process Video & Simon Says Wednesday Challenge

So, the challenge this week was 'flowers, Prima flowers if you had them, which I did..  So I started out with a visual for myself (first photo), just laying the photos and floral clusters down as is.... (obviously, I would have to trim the floral wire stamens off and rearrange, I didn't show this in the video because it took a LONG time...

I do love the way the layout turned out....it features my two favorite girlies....my granddaughters, Evie and Capri.....who are particularly enamored with my reader glasses....it's the first thing they reach for when they get to our house.   I used an older Basic Grey solid background paper, layered with patterned prints from Crate Paper, and an embossed solid using a Provo Craft embossing folder.  THe florals, are, of course, by Prima, I cut the wire stems and adhered them individually with a hot glue gun.  The scalloped solid cardstock trim has been cut with a Martha Stewart edger.  The sticker phrase bubbles and butterfly  are from 'photo play paper.'  The number 2 is a leftover from a set my husband used to add the address numbers to our house, also added, a few sprinkles of sequins, mostly Darice, some Make It Market from Papertrey Ink.  The 'Quoted' block is from Papertrey Ink from their Monthly Moments' collection.

Thank you for visiting and watching the video....if you enjoyed, please give a thumbs up! If you have any questions, please ask in the comments.

Scrapbooking Process Video, 'Citizen Cope'

HI there, here today with another scrapbook process video, a layout made from a photo of Citizen Cope at a concert my daughter and son-in-law took me to for my birthday (yes, my choice, Citizen Cope was on my playlist long before it was on theirs :).

I chose basically one accent color of turquoise along with black for the background and few touches of lime green here and there.  The title alpha was created using Quickutz Studio Classic Alpha, and the subtitle 'to me' using Quickkutz, 'moonlight.'  The turquoise chevron paper is by Carta Bella, the black star patterned paper by Papertrey Ink, unfortunaltely, I took the branding strip off the bookprint paper before I could jot down the name.  The green swirl rub-on is by Basic Grey from a long-ago released collection of 'Olio.'  There is one Becky Higgins project life card with the date, the other rectangles were die cut from lawn fawn stitched rectangles.  I finished off the project with a few stamps from Heidi Swapp and Technique Tuesday, along with some crystal stars.

Scrapbooking Process Video 'You Are My Happy Place'

Hello there, and welcome to another post with a Scrapbooking process video.  This layout features my husband and our dog Trail, giving him some serious 'face time,' (usually he just lays his face on top of your face, unless you coax it back, like my husband, Stan did here, and he's ok with just wrapping himself around your neck :)

For this layout, I again, started by mating my photos.  The main photo, I lightly matted on black cardstock, so I could tuckin the little 4x4" squares I cut from a Teresa Collins 12x12 pattern paper.  I embellished the squares with some Heidi Swapp stamps, and arrow die cuts using dies from Carta Bella.  The  kind of shabby looking paper with some red script is very old Making Memories paper, which I stamped a stripe border from some Art Warehouse stamps.  'You are My Happy Place' is from a Papertrey Ink stamp set, Phrase Play #1.  The two tags featured on this layout are also Papertrey ink dies, but I cannot find them on their website to give you the name.  There are four different dies in the set, and they are just a great size, about 3"X 1".  The stamping on the top tag is from Papertrey Ink's Button Boutique stamp set.  The heart border is from W Plus 9, the chevron border stamp is Kaiser Craft.  The background grid paper is also Teresa Collins, I added the background stamps (PTI, Polka Dot Basics, and Background Text Style II) just to create a little interest and contrast.  Finished off the layout with a bit of twine on the second tag.

Thank you so much for stopping by, any questions about the project, products, techniques used, please leave a comment.

New Scrapbooking Process Video; Girl Cousins

Hello, here today with a new Scrapbooking process video, 'Girl Cousins.'  I used photos of my darling grandgirls for this, again :). These are pictures from the end of Easter Day, when the girls were tired, and playing on Capri's bed.  I have been seeing a lot of videos lately with people using white tissue paper as a photo mat, I wanted to try it, but instead of white, I used  pink and red tissue paper.  I have to say, it is an interesting texture addition.  After matting the photos on the tissue paper (a couple of layers), I matted them on Bazzill cardstock, then Pebbles, Inc. patterned paper, and then some chocolate cardstock.  I adhered thin strips of cardstock along each side of the matted photos.  On the right side, I used a cluster of Becky Higgins Project life cards (which I cut up), along with some of the same patterned paper cut in strips, some Paper Smooches word dies, and Papertrey Ink Rosie Posey Step 1 & 2 stamp and dies (stamped in dark chocolate, true black, and lovely lady with Hibiscus Burst.  The grid journaling card I stamped with stamps from PTI Monthly Moments, A Few Pointers.  Sprinkled the page with some American craft wood veneers, which I colored with a copic marker, RV17, along with some sequins.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

'So Perfect' Easter Scrapbook Process Video and Layout

Hello!!!  Happy to be back writing on blog, after two weeks without water (our well went dyry:(....we finally have water, a new well and a new pump :)!  It's easier to do everything with water!!!

I have a new scrapbook page layout, an  Easter page, featuring the grands, Evelyn and Caprice.  The pp I used is Amy Tangerine - Plus One, some Becky Higgins project life cards, PTI stamps with some Copic coloring (the jar and tulips).  The little script block at the bottom of the page is a wood mounted stamp (rare for me), but I just had to have it, because I loved the words and fonts! The two little phrase stickers at the top are from a stickers sheet by Simple Stories, 'Sweet Bliss.'  The letter stickers are older Making Memories stickers I've had in my stash for quite some time.  Added a bit of washi tape to finish it off.

Thank so much for stopping by!
