New TAgs....

Had to get sick on Christmas day, the day I most anticipate..the day my son's new in-laws (they are so great!) were coming for dinner...I don't get sick, literally....I get infused with immune globuline every month.......for my MS and Polyneuropathy.....but I did....pulled through...had a great Christmas Day with our little family and added the new family member, the Nordstroms...played games, ate, and it was great!  (I was in bed the next day, but that was fine).......
I tried to make some additions for my etsy shop from my bed:
Little ledger cards for scrapbook journaling cards or for gift tags....www.suzannebwebb.etsy.com
I feel better now, not 100% yet........
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Christmas Mantle

I have had a vision for my mantle for a long time...it included horns of some sort, and pine cones and greenery...all items native of our local surroundings...I finally got Seth to give up some of his smaller horns (he mostly just collects larger sets)....the smaller ones fit on the mantle better and I could stack/layer them...I spray painted them brilliant silver and layered them over fir and added the pine cones collected and glued the tips and dipped in Martha Stewart Sterling glitter ( they really are more striking in person)....of course I have glitter all over the place...:)  just happy sprinkles!!

Tim Holtz 12 Days 7th Tag

My take on Tim Holtz's Twelve Days of Tags, this is my take on  the 7th Tag;

I had to improvise (as always)...as I didn't have all the right die cuts, stamps etc....I hand cut the leaves, heavily crinkled and distressed them and tucked a glittered little branch behind, I used a different stamp for the sentiment which I also heavily blended in darker colors over the kraft, made my background paper w/a music stamp, the covered with sheer gold paint, and while still wet added Tea Dye Distress ink to edges and used blending tool to blend it in and topped it with some pearls and a tear drop gemstone.  I had a lot of fun with this, even if it took me several days of working on it :)

Started first of many game nights tonight with Stan and Seth...something we do every December in front of the Christmas tree and fire.  Also, still working on my mantle, I keep adding to it (kind of experimenting what I in part with what I am going to do for the tables at Ashley's January wedding.  I'll post pics when I get it done :)

Christmas Cheer In the Infusion Room

Today was an infusion day for me (for those of you who don't know, I have Demylenating Polyneuropathy and MS, for which I go to St. Charles Medical Center every month to get an IV infusion of Immune Globulin).  The infusion room nurse had decorated all the IV poles with garland and each had a little hanging angel ornament, so thoughtful and cheery for a dreary room!

On another note, as I mentioned I did make three wreaths on our Black Friday Crafting Day, this is the second made with local manazanita, which I spray painted here and there with 'Bright Gold' Krylon, then topped with Krylon 'Glistening Gold' glitter.  I have this one hanging upstairs in my studio, I love a bit of Christmas up there!
Have a great day!

Tim Holtz Winner!

OK, I was playing along to gain new inspiration....never expected to win a prize, but I did, and so excited to get new products I don't have!!!!  My prize included three distress ink pads (color I didn't have, which is amazing right there), crushed olive, brushed corduroy and broken china, along with a Perfect Pearls Mist of heirloom gold, and a bottle of glossy accents.  Had to try something out quickly, so I chose the crushed olive and pumped out these little gift tags:
The tree stamp is from Stampington & Co., the sentiment from Technique Tuesday.  Simple, but I love them!

Also, went to Aspen Hall, Ashley's wedding venue...I think our theme will be beautiful there!  Antlers, burlap, lace, a big fireplace and candles....

Twelve Days of Tags W/Tim Holtz Day 3

Yes, I know, it is the 5th, but I am on day 2, and still loving Tim Holtz's FREE clsss on Holiday tags...I have learned many new techniques, and new ways to use techniques I already know (a good thing).  Saw a great posted today, using the tags as Christmas tree ornaments...great idea!  I always have to improvise a bit w/my tools....I don't have all the right TH dies....but have found ones that work with the design, for instance, this die is from my Silhouette machine...the metal washer is a "really" old MM washer, the pin is TH,  the stamp is from FP...border TH Kraft Resist paper (that I have used like crazy)...stamp, FP, ink is all Distress Ink, I had to use an old tube of pearlized "l'il Davis' paint to get the  white effect...still need to add the snowflake effect.  I love how it turned out..esp. with the the burlap tie.
Hey, thanks for looking, hope you enjoyed the tag :)

Twelve Days Of Tags W/Tim Holtz

I did this a couple of years ago, and learned a lot of new techniques....so...I wanted to do it again.  This first day really did introduce me to a lot of new techniques...no.1....using a toothpick to create spirals (hello....the bulk of my Etsy sells are spiral flowers....this makes the process so much easier!! TY Tim!!!  Ok, I did not have his pinecone die-cut...I improvised using deco scissors, love how my pinecones turned out, but I am still getting his die!  I used his wood grain embossing folder (the white is the embossing).  Got to practice a bit with vintage lace and burlap for Ashley's wedding...Here's  my take
