Papertrey Ink's 7th Anniversary Challenge
Today's Papertrey Ink 7th Anniversary challenge was to create a 3x4" card to celebrate the unveiling of their pocket scrapbooking series. For this card I used 'Rustic Wreath' stamps, 'Meadow Greens,' and background basics 'Farm and Barn, along with a die cut deer by Impression Impression. I used copic markers to color in the wresath, inks are classic kraft, dark chocolate, and ripe advocado. Enamel dots are MME, stick pin is from Etsy, JunqueArt.
Papertrey Ink Anniversary Challenge
I've been trying to follow and do the Papertreyink 7th Anniversary challenges over on Nichole Heady's blog, but usually too late to post. Here's one for today, the challenge was to create a flat 3x4" card to help introduce their new pocket scrapbooking system (I'm excited for this :). My card feaures 'Year of Flowers, Mum' stamp set Garden Variety. I colored the mum using copic markers and added glitter to it, attached a string so you could pull it out of a pocket for journaling on the back. Hope you like...

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop - August 2013
I loved all the color combinations to choose from in the August Papertrey Blog Hop, many of which I would have never thought to put together. I chose to use this color combo and sketch:
I did one card so far, but I really want to try combining some of the other color combinations. Here's
my take using the colors Enchanted Evening, Plum Pudding, Simply Chartreuse, Royal Velvet & Hawaiian Shores...
I did one card so far, but I really want to try combining some of the other color combinations. Here's
I used Rosie Posie stamp sets, 1 & 2 along with Stitched Sentiments, pop dotted a few leaves and flowers, stitched around the green Graphic 45 pp, and added some bakers twine.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Papertrey Ink Stam-a-faire Scratch 'n Smell Cards
This was really fun for me....creating a scratch and smell card during Papertrey Ink's Stam-a-faire. I creating a cherry tag/card using a 'Fruit Fusion' stamp set, I also use background patterned paper from the Bitty Star Basics paper pad (the background tag is a large Heidi Swapp tag. I also watercolored inside the leaves using ripe avocado ink pad. I've also added a better image of my first card for the stamp-a-faire (with no pink background :)
I will add the 'scratch and smell' sentiment after I get the stamp set :) And I'm already thinkinf of other scents I can do :)
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Papertrey Ink's Stamp-a-faire Today
Hi there, have been trying to participate in Papertrey Ink's Stamp-a-faire that is happening today! Good timing for me, as DH is gone bow hunting. I chose my sketch and the color combination using royal velvet, lavender moon, ripe avocado, scarlet jewel & raspberry fizz. I used their 'Birds & Blooms' stamp and die set along with some zing leaf embossing powder. Love this color combo, as I would have never put them all together! Here's my card: (should not have photographed it with a pink background, that is that is not part of the card :)

Friends Of The Children
My brother-in-law and sister started a foundation for at risk children 20 years ago. It was their 20 year anniversary fundraiser last Thursday night. I worked with one of my other sister's to pot 75 orchids and I don't know how many geraniums, along with table 'fluffing' for 6+ local chef's and making 15+ huge flower arrangements to be auctioned off. It was a long three days, but well worth the effort after they raised close to 2 million dollars for the foundation. Many of the kids and their mentors (who are dedicated to them for a minimum of 12 years)spoke and it was really moving to see and hear how 'Friends of the Children' has changed their lives so profusely. Most of the graduates go on to college or trade school and have promising futures and careers to look forward to. Most importantly, they are no longer 'at risk,' they are fully functioning, active members of our society. So proud of my BIL and sister for beginning this program!

Having Some HUGE Scrapbook Supply Sales!
Hi everyone!
Just a quick update, we are tentatiely thinking about moving out to our property and begin building. In thinking about living in a shop and our trailer, I thought, "I have got to get rid of some of my scrapbooking supplies!" What better way than to have some huge lots up for sale, right?
My first box has 150 12x12 pieces of designer papers, flowers from Prima, Heidi Swapp, some chipboard elements, letter stickers (thickers included).....tons of embelishments and fun goodies. I had to go through the video very quickly, but if you are interested or have any questions, please ask away. I am asking $50 which includes s/h (I figured a flat-rate box was my best bet, since it will be heavy, and the size that fits 12x12 costs a little oer $15). Check out my video if you are interested in some goodies!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great day!
