Today is Papertrey Ink's blog hope, featuring projects with a black background and bold colors. My project is a card featuring their 'Button Up,' and 'Button Boutique' stamp sets as well as their button dies. I know, I keep using the same stamps, but, trust me, it is not easy narrowing down my shopping cart of over $800.00 to a reasonable amount :) Here's my project:
And, another project I did for my Etsy shop (www.suzannebwebb.etsy.com). I made a super fun Valentine, or it could be an anniversary banner, using paper garland rosettes out of vintage dictionary pages, I love how these turned out :)

A Pocket Full Of Posies....
Over at Papertrey Ink, on Nichole's blog there is a challenge for making an envelope for oversized/odd-sized cards, etc. Mine isn't exactly a card, but something that I need to package, which is a handmade paper flower collection, and while I was trying to come up with something, I thought......'why not add to the flowers, and make it a little collection with handmade embellishments that someone could use on tags, cards or any paper crafting project?' I still love Karen Russell's products, even though she doesn't make them anymore....so I used one of her transparencies, cut it in half and sewed it with a transparency. I made a fold over tab backed with burlap and lace to staple the two pieces together and topped it with a pretty die and stamp set from Papertrey Ink, 'Hanging By A Thread', along with their button dies. Topped it with a crystal stick pin. This was a fun challenge, I would have never ventured to do on my own! Sorry for the glare from the transparency and enclosed celephane bag...

I Am Making Cards!
It is quite a shocker, I usually prefer making tags to cards, but lately I have taken to cards. I made this one for the challenge at Papertrey Ink using a rainbow color palette, and as I still only have three sets of their stamps, again a card using one of their button stamps, which I embossed:
The next card I made a felt spiral flower for the center, and some rubons that I have had forever from 7Gypsiees, and some old fflouurish sttamps ffroom Maya Road..
Thank for stopping by :)

I Am Inspired To Create!
I kind of had a dry spell of craftiness (other than making pretty packages for Christmas :)...With just a simple little package from Stan for Christmas filled with Papertrey Ink stamps and dies, I have been re-inspired! I even did another card (I don't usually do cards.....
This one features the Hanging By A Thread and Button Up stamps sets along with the coordinating button dies:
I also added a new flower collection with some Valentine shades included.
It feels like the new year is finally beginning tomorrow, with the first full week of no days off. Will feel good to get back into some kind of a routine!
Have a great day!!!

Papertrey Ink Chalkboard Art Stamping Contest
Happy 2013, still sounds strange to say that! Hope everyone's Holiday's were good and happy and spent with loved ones.
I have recently been admiring all of the clever chalkboard art I have seen over on Pinterest, so I was happy to see a contest up at Papertrey Ink involving this technique. I wasn't sure I could participate because I because I had yet to purchase any of the wonderful stamp sets. Due to a good hubby who responded to a pre-Christmas e-mail that I sent him full of stamps and dies....I had a nice Papertrey Ink present under the tree! I was a little bit limitied as these were my first sets. I ended up using 'Button Boutique' and 'Button Up' on this card, along with some Maya Road and Technique Tuesday stamps. I like how it turned out, need to get used to the 'smudged' look a chalkboard art piece is supposed to look like :)
