New Short Video Featuring Mini Tags!

I did this little video showcasing little mini tags using rubons.  This will be the first part of two, I will further show you how to embellish these little gems that are so versatile in papercrafting.  They can be used as gift tags, in scrapbooks, on cards, as journaling spots, tied to the neck of wine bottles for a hostess gift...the possibilities are endless!

Papertrey Ink Bloghop

Once again, I am late for the PtI bloghop...I a on pacific standard time....I always miss the cutoff...darn...anyway, here is my sequin infused project. I used an older Narratives transparency by Karen Russell that I stitched to some glittered embossed 'Recollection' paper, adding some silver heart sequins before I finished stitching it up (they look bicolored in the photo, but they are silver :) Stitched together some felt Jenni Bowlin Hearts, and layered a Spellbinders die with a Pti sentiment in the center. PTI Two-Toned Stamped Flower Challenge

Hi there! I have been wanting to try Melissa Phillips challenge from over at Papertrey Ink to stamp some two toned flowers. Didn't know if I was going to get it done, due to the fact that I am working on a huge mini album project that I have put off for far too long....then I realized I could make an accent piece using this technique. I made a little banner chipboard tag, added some sewn pleated bookplate, and used Rosie Posie and Stitched Sentiments stamp sets, with some of the dies and pop dotted a flower, along with Pti Autumn Rose, Scarlet Jewel and Dark Chocolate inks. Here is the resulting tag, along with some little peeks at my gated album.

March 7, 2013 More Mixing the Old With New

Hi everyone!  How is our March going?  We've had quite a mix here in Central Oregon....some 60 degree days and some snow days...but always cold at night here on the high desert!

OK, I'm still pugging along with youtube series 'Mixing the Old With New.' This time I did it with scrapbook pages.   I know I already have a 'dislike', but this truly is a learning process for me, and I do need to grow some thicker skin :)  My only goal is to show people how to mix older products while still enjoying all the new goodies, and also, my church is trying to convince me to do some classes of sorts (I wasn't even good at these when I owned my own LSS :), so I figure overall it is a good life lesson for me).   I don't know how to edit, I know not all my angles are great, sound, etc...so if you have some suggestions, I would love to hear them here on my blog :)

Here is the video:
